Delete my data
You can delete everything the GoUMRA server holds about you at any time. No account, e-mail or password needed.
If the app is on your phone
- Open GoUMRA.
- Settings (bottom menu) → “Delete my data”.
- Tap “Delete” and confirm. Your data is deleted on the server at once and the phone is cleared.
If you already uninstalled the app
Enter your code: the join code you used (from the QR code or the WhatsApp message, e.g. ABCDE-FGHJK) or the “Device ID” shown in Settings.
Deletion cannot be undone. If you are in a group, your guide will no longer see you on the map.
What is deleted
- name, phone number, last 4 passport digits, hotel and room (if the agency entered them)
- location history and last known position
- Umrah progress, gate comments, family links
- coordinates and the medical card inside SOS / “I'm lost” alerts
- device code, secret key, join codes, diagnostics
What is kept
The guide's log keeps a line “a pilgrim deleted their data” and the type and time of earlier events (no name, no coordinates). Server backups taken before updates are kept for at most 30 days.
